Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging - This is the same technology that allows a physician to see a baby in its mother’s womb or to see blood flow through your heart. We use it to see tears in muscles, scar tissue, inflamed muscles, tendons and ligaments, irregular cartilage surfaces, small bone fragments, calcium deposits or spurs, pockets of fluid, etc. in any extremity area (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet). Whether an injury is fresh or the problem has been lingering for years we can give you a great idea of what is wrong. One of the best features is that there is no radiation or other adverse side effect AND it is very inexpensive compared to tests like MRI and CT Scans.
